Amgen Scholars Programme

The Amgen Scholars Programme is made possible through a 16-year, $74 million commitment from the Amgen Foundation, Amgen Scholars allows undergraduates from across the globe to participate in cutting-edge research opportunities at world-class institutions.

Students studying at a University in Europe* can apply to be an Amgen scholar in Europe or Asia. Approximately 15 students are admitted to each programme per year, 135 scholars across all sites.

Candidates can apply to as many of the programmes as they wish but if made an offer can only attend one programme.

All the programmes are carried out in English so it is important that you have a good knowledge of the English Language when applying.

Applications are now being accepting at all sites.

Amgen Scholars Programme

The University of Cambridge is delighted to continue to participate in the Amgen Scholars Programme and to welcome scholars from universities across Europe.

Amgen Scholars at the University of Cambridge will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced faculty members, including some of the world's top academic scientists. They will gain hands-on laboratory experience, and actively contribute to the advancement of science. We hope that the experience of undertaking research in one of the world's foremost Universities will enthuse our Scholars about a career in scientific research.

We would like to acknowledge the support of the Amgen Foundation.
