Amgen Scholars Programme

2023 Amgen Scholars group from above

Scholars from all five of the different European Amgen Scholars Programme institutions gathered in Cambridge once again  - participants from the LMU, ETH Zurich, Institut Pasteur, Karolinska Institutet and University of Cambridge programmes spent 3 days staying at Clare College in early September 2023. Across the programme there were many talks and workshops and - as always - the chance for scholars to network and share their hard work in the various poster presentation sessions. Many alumni from the past ASP programmes attended to share their experiences with the new cohort, and speakers from Cambridge and Amgen provided inspiring talks and encouraging words in the workshops.

The top posters from each institution were celebrated in an awards ceremony at the end of the schedule, before attendees gathered again for a drinks reception and formal dinner to celebrate their achievements together.

Amgen Scholars Programme

The University of Cambridge is delighted to continue to participate in the Amgen Scholars Programme and to welcome scholars from universities across Europe.

Amgen Scholars at the University of Cambridge will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced faculty members, including some of the world's top academic scientists. They will gain hands-on laboratory experience, and actively contribute to the advancement of science. We hope that the experience of undertaking research in one of the world's foremost Universities will enthuse our Scholars about a career in scientific research.

We would like to acknowledge the support of the Amgen Foundation.
