Amgen European Symposium

Two scholars talk while walking into the Gillespie centre.

The Amgen European Symposium takes place at the end of the summer programme. All scholars from the five different European Amgen Scholars Programme institutions attend the symposium: LMU, ETH Zurich, Institut Pasteur, Karolinska Institutet and University of Cambridge. 

The event comprises talks from Cambridge academics, industry speakers and Amgen Scholars Programme alumni. A signature element of the symposium schedule are the poster sessions - each institution's scholars will present their posters and share their summer projects with the other scholars. All meals are provided, including a formal dinner.

2025 Symposium Dates

  • Sunday 31 August - arrive, welcome activities
  • Monday 1 - Tuesday 2 September - main symposium activities
  • Wednesday 3 September - departure
